An uplifting evening of dance from a refreshingly intimate perspective

Experience a wide-ranging evening of dance and drama in the intimacy of the Black Box Theatre. Gianni Di Marco's popular one-act Lady of the Camellias returns, bringing the drama and romance back to the stage with consuming effect. Broadway World calls Lady, "a stunning spectacle of leaps and spins that feel larger than life in the tiny space that is the black box theatre."

The evening will also feature World Premiere works from yon Tande and Kurt Douglas.

Series Overview

"Dance so close you can touch it!"

Festival Ballet Providence's acclaimed Up Close on Hope series presents a wide variety of works in the intimacy of its 85-seat Black Box Theatre, located on the vibrant East Side of Providence. The content ranges from classical masterpieces to exciting new contemporary works. With such a unique perspective and a variety of flavors and emotions, Up Close on Hope is truly a "dance experience without equal."

Each performance features an intermission reception with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants. Members of the company, and Artistic Director Misha Djuric often join the patrons during the intermission to discuss the performance.

Tickets: $50 each. Admission includes intermission reception with complimentary wine and hors d' oeuvres.
